The full picture

What this journey
is really like.

The longer regional-boat expedition reaches the Anavilhanas archipelago and gives the forest programme room to develop across two distinct ecosystems. Groups are normally kept between four and eight guests.

Depending on the assigned boat, guests sleep in hammocks or cabins. The traditional vessel has two decks, shaded sleeping space, an open sun area, shared bathrooms with showers and a working kitchen for meals prepared aboard.

The experience

A journey shaped
by the living forest.

Day 1

Depart Manaus at 08:00 for the Meeting of the Waters and Janauari Lake. See giant water lilies and, during high water, flooded forest and creeks. Dinner is followed by caiman spotting by motorised canoe.

Day 2

A three-hour forest walk introduces medicinal plants and practical survival knowledge. After lunch, visit a local family, then fish for piranhas before dinner aboard.

Day 3

Sunrise wildlife watching, followed by a terra-firme forest walk among taller trees. Swim after lunch, then enter the Anavilhanas archipelago for a late-afternoon canoe exploration.

Day 4

Begin at 05:15 with a final morning wildlife tour. After breakfast and fishing, navigate back down the Rio Negro, visit Indigenous families, have lunch aboard and arrive in Manaus around 17:00.
