What this journey
is really like.
A compact expedition aboard a traditional two-deck regional boat, combining the Meeting of the Waters, Janauari Lake, Rio Negro wildlife and a full day in the forest. The small-group format normally brings together four to eight guests.
Sleeping is in hammocks under the covered upper deck, with shared toilets and showers below. Meals are prepared aboard, turning the boat into both transport and a simple floating base for the journey.
The experience
A journey shaped
by the living forest.
Depart Manaus at 08:00 for the Meeting of the Waters and Janauari Lake, with giant water lilies and flooded forest in the high-water season. Continue up the Rio Negro for pink dolphins, piranha fishing, dinner and caiman spotting.
Wake around 05:00 for sunrise and birds. After breakfast, cross the Rio Negro for a full-day forest walk, lunch at camp and a late-afternoon swim before returning to the regional boat.
After breakfast, visit an Indigenous family on the Rio Negro and learn about their daily life and traditions. Lunch is served aboard before the return to Manaus around 17:00.
