The full picture

What this journey
is really like.

This three-day version allows the rhythm of the Rio Preto da Eva to unfold more naturally. Jardim Maravilha is a modest riverside lodge in the São José community, approximately 104 km from Manaus, with genuine local hospitality at the centre of the stay.

The lodge has six chalets with private bathrooms, plus 110V electricity, Wi-Fi and a restaurant. It becomes a comfortable base for sunrise outings, jungle walks, piranha fishing, caiman spotting and quiet canoe exploration.

The experience

A journey shaped
by the living forest.

Day 1

Leave your Manaus hotel at 07:00 and see the Meeting of the Waters before continuing to Rio Preto da Eva. Visit the town market, then travel for about 1 hour 40 minutes by small aluminium boat through rainforest creeks to Jardim Maravilha. After lunch, visit a local home and fruit and vegetable plantations before dinner at the lodge.

Day 2

Wake at 05:15 and leave at 05:30 for sunrise and wildlife watching. After breakfast, Antonio leads a jungle walk focused on flora, fauna, survival knowledge and medicinal plants. The afternoon brings motor-canoe travel and piranha fishing, followed after dark by caiman spotting and nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3

After breakfast, explore the surrounding waterways quietly in small canoes, looking for birds and other wildlife. Return for lunch, leave the lodge around 13:00 and arrive in Manaus in the late afternoon.
