What this journey
is really like.
Jardim Maravilha is a simple, welcoming riverside guesthouse in the São José community on the Rio Preto da Eva, about 104 km from Manaus. It is suited to solo travellers, couples, families and small groups looking for a genuine forest stay rather than resort luxury.
The lodge has six chalets with private bathrooms and single or double beds. It also has 110V electricity, Wi-Fi and a restaurant, offering practical comfort while keeping the experience close to the river, forest and local community.

Hotel pickup in Manaus at 07:00. Travel through Rio Preto da Eva, visit its fruit market, then continue by road and small aluminium boat to the guesthouse. After lunch, visit a local family and their plantations, fish for piranhas, watch the sunset and finish with Antonio spotting caimans after dinner.
Leave at 05:30 for sunrise and wildlife watching, followed by breakfast at 07:00. Antonio leads a jungle walk introducing survival techniques, medicinal plants and the local ecosystem before a swim at a small forest waterfall. After lunch, depart around 14:00 for your Manaus hotel or the airport.
